Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia, the passionate wine makers come from the families of vignerons were to pursue their goal by establishing PIAZZO winery, in San Rocco Seno d’ Elvio near Alba in 1960s.

Times go by, due to their agricultural successful, they produced the world well-known wines: Nebbiolo & Barbaresco. After their marriage, the daughter Marina and her husband Franceare to last the family legend, at 1985 they present the first Barolo as pride of the winery, because of then prominent business, their vineyard is extended more than 70 hectares today.

Recently, the work team was enlarged by the new generation joined in, Simone and Marco, upon their completion of studies at Umberto I, wine school in Alba. Now, Azienda Vitivincola Piazzo is more capable to produce the wines which are best representing the traditions of Langhe and Roero.
