Piazzo – Barbera D’Alba 2017
Vinification is to place the crushed grape with skin in temperature control steel tank for fermentation; then the young wine evolves 6-8 months in steel. Finally, the bottled wines are stored horizontally for aging in underground cellar for months.
Color is intense burgundy with ruby red highlights.
Aroma of blackberry, plum, fruit jam, hints of rose and subtle spicy.
Taste of full body wine, warm and well balanced tannin, long lasting bouquet.
Good pairing with tasty meats and cheeses; hot, cold, combinative starters; delicate white meat main course.
Gordon’s Comment: Brilliant Violet color, robust boutique, well balanced tannin hints mellow & rich, good for spiced meats. Enjoyable wine!
